I attempted to install the latest nForce chipset driver from Asus for this motherboard for up to Win 8. If I try to update the video driver from here, it just seems to reinstall the bad GeForce driver again, so again is forced to revert to the Basic driver after flickering for a while.

Also, the built-in video is Nvidiaand I was curious if nvidia-glx supported this chipset. It always seems to be something. This could actually then let any chipset drivers failing to install to succeed.
So, back to thread topic: I’ve read that the flickering is common on old chips running Windows 10, so I’ll think on this a while. While onboard video vs. Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers attempt to trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services.
I didn’t have any problems with the board in installation. I’m only installing Win 10 for security purposes.
Never an issue except on Vista using onboard graphics. So this item is concerning. The time now is Ok, but I think it could be a north bridge issue. Did this solve your problem? I have gone back and forth with removing drivers and reinstalling.
